Market Director

About This Role

The Market Director provides leadership, direction, and ongoing administration and management for all operational aspects of Independence Physician Management's (IPM) physician practices within a designated market. This role ensures policies and procedures are implemented for efficient management of programs and has overall responsibility for the care centers' financial and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains direct supervision of providers while ensuring policies and procedures are implemented for efficient, effective management of all programs.
• Has overall responsibility for all aspects of the care centers, financial and operational performance and is accountable to communicate and implement corporate strategic initiatives to meet the program goals and objectives.
• Assist in the recruitment of physicians to develop/grow provider base, including networking and interviewing.
• Collaborates with market leaders to monitor performance indicators ensuring practice objectives/goals are met.
• Maintains strong collaborative relationships with hospital administration leaders and market providers.
• Engage and collaborate with market partners in the implementation of telehealth initiatives, processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health or Business Administration
• 3+ years of physician practice management or healthcare management experience
• Experience managing multiple physician locations (20+ physicians)
• Strong understanding of financial management, business, and clinical operations of a medical group practice
• Knowledge of fiscal management techniques, revenue cycle management, and third-party reimbursement
• Knowledge of health care administration systems
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health or Business Administration required. Master’s degree in health or business administration and/or certification by the American College of Medical Practice Executives is preferred.
• Three to five years of physician practice management or healthcare management experience is required, including experience managing multiple physician locations across a geographic area with at least 20 physicians.
