This 10-week paid internship provides college students with hands-on experience by supporting process improvements and refining the plant layout at Powell Industries, a global leader in power distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Support process improvements in manufacturing
- Refine and completely update the plant layout of Mosley fabrication/assembly shops
- Gain hands-on experience with real-world engineering challenges
- Collaborate with and learn from experienced engineers and business leaders
- Contribute to Powell’s mission of powering communities globally
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
- Rising Junior or Senior continuing studies in Fall 2027
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with a dependable, can-do attitude
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with Six Sigma
- Experience with CAD
- Process improvement fundamentals
