This role is a Manager of Security at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. The manager will direct security operations, oversee staffing, manage the budget, and maintain liaison with law enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Direct the hiring and scheduling of Security Services Officers (SSO)
- Provide for the safety and security of patients, visitors, and hospital medical staff
- Maintain records and prepare all necessary reports pertaining to DSS
- Conduct investigations
- Maintain liaison with local and state law enforcement and emergency services
- Conduct Disaster drills with state and local emergency services
- Attend emergency service meetings at state, county, and local level
Requirements
- California Security Guard Registration upon hire
- 3 years Supervisory experience with staffing, budget and operations
Qualifications
- 3 years of supervisory experience with staffing, budget, and operations; 3 years experience in active law enforcement or corrections; 2 years experience in a hospital setting
Nice to Have
- Advanced peace officer or corrections standard of training coursework
- Environmental orientation within 30 days of start coursework
- 3 years experience in active law enforcement or corrections
- 2 years experience in a hospital setting
