The Manager of Patient Registration provides leadership for all aspects of Patient Access, overseeing supervisors and staff to ensure patient satisfaction and excellent performance. This role is responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring staff on registration, admission, documentation, and insurance processes, while also coordinating with the Business Office for compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for all aspects of Patient Access
- Lead and direct all activities of Patient Access Supervisors
- Train, coach, and mentor leadership and staff on workflow processes and policies
- Coordinate with Business Office to assure compliance with third-party payers and regulations
- Develop and maintain current training material for all roles within patient registration and scheduling
- Ensure all established targets for Key Performance Indicators are met
- Collaborate with Clinic Director in staff interviewing, evaluations, coaching, and counseling
- Monitor adherence to policy and procedure to ensure safety of patients and staff
- Problem-solve and make decisions within areas of accountability
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives for the department
