About This Role

This role is responsible for developing and implementing teaching and learning strategies aligned with the College's mission, focusing on instructional design and faculty development to enhance student learning outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Teaching and Learning Center operations, including staff supervision and professional development alignment with college goals.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, facilitation, and evaluations of internal training and development programs such as New Employee Orientation, Team Development Day, and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop, plan, and deliver educational events and ongoing professional development.
  • Coordinate outreach channels like TLC newsletters, employee portal, and online learning platforms to engage employees and students.
  • Provide oversight and leadership in state reporting and compliance of Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS).
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic initiatives related to teaching and learning, aligning instructional practices with student support services.
  • Champion faculty development programs and workshops on effective teaching strategies, inclusive practices, and emerging pedagogies.
  • Lead and coordinate faculty development initiatives focused on competency-based education, online and hybrid learning, and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Lead the adoption and integration of innovative instructional design frameworks, such as competency-based education (CBE).
  • Establish and manage training programs for faculty on instructional design methodologies, online course development, and technology tools.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in educational leadership, business, organization development, human resources, library information science, or other closely related discipline
  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible management experience

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in educational leadership, business, organization development, human resources, library information science, or other closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Two to three years of recent progressively responsible management experience required, with preference for previous experience in a higher education setting.
