Manager of LOB Infrastructure Operations

About This Role

Manage Line of Business (LOB) infrastructure operations and a team of professional DevOps engineers, ensuring the delivery and performance of IT Infrastructure that supports the Pension, Health, and other lines of business. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise application infrastructure and lead LOB Infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of professional DevOps engineers, including training, coaching, performance evaluation, and hiring
• Oversee activities related to the delivery and performance of IT Infrastructure supporting various lines of business
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise application infrastructure
• Plan, coordinate, and lead LOB Infrastructure projects, initiatives, and system deployments
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, agency, and department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Implement policies, processes, and controls for consistent, high-quality service delivery
• Manage and enhance service management and delivery processes in collaboration with stakeholders
• Utilize procurement processes for LOB infrastructure software and hardware, and manage contracts and payables
• Direct evaluation of technologies for acquisition, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits
• Supervise troubleshooting and resolution of complex network hardware and software problems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of experience in Line of Business (LOB) application operations, design, or related experience
• 3+ years of experience coordinating, leading, or supervising the work of others

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field
• Seven (7) years of full-time directly related, progressively responsible experience in Line of Business (LOB) application operations, design, or related experience, including three (3) years coordinating, leading, or supervising others.

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing and operating LOB applications based on DevOps principles (CI/CD, source code management, automated pipelines)
• Experience in implementing and/or managing Microsoft Windows Server, RHEL, Active Directory, Red Hat Suite (EAP, OpenShift, Ansible), Enterprise Job Scheduling, sFTP applications, Enterprise Content Management, and Print/Mail software
• Experience leading large technology projects
