Manager Nursing - Surgical Services

About This Role

This role involves 24/7 accountability for operational and patient care management within surgical services, leading staff and ensuring adherence to ethical principles and quality improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-7 accountability for operational and patient care management of assigned care areas
• Apply leadership and patient care principles in evaluating work performance and outcome standards
• Exhibit behaviors enhancing professional performance and reflecting PSHMC's values
• Promote staff productivity through a defined care delivery system and professional practice model
• Participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the service
• Accountable for the selection and evaluation process of unit staff
• Integrate a performance assessment and improvement plan for the unit/service
• Apply leadership skills and CQI principles on multidisciplinary committees and Nursing Service Councils

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• Washington Registered Nurse License
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• CNOR
• 3 years Experience in Operating Room or procedural settings
• 2 years Leadership experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• 3 years Experience in Operating Room or procedural settings and 2 years Leadership experience.

Nice to Have

• Master's Degree Nursing
