The Executive Dining Room Manager 2 will lead day-to-day front of house operations for multiple dining facilities at Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC, ensuring high standards of service, managing a team of 35 staff members, and achieving financial targets. This role requires a strong focus on hospitality and mentoring staff within a not-for-profit Life Plan Community.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day front of house operations for two restaurant-style dining rooms and a bistro
- Manage a front-of-house team of approximately 35 staff members, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
- Deliver high quality food services including retail, catering, and resident dining operations
- Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
- Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests
- Ensure Sodexo standards are met
Requirements
- Strong front-of-house leadership experience
- Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and customer service skills
- Previous restaurant management / catering experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional communication skills
- Passion for a high level of customer service
- Ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts

- Background in a country club or fine dining setting
