Manager, Executive Dining Room

About This Role

The Executive Dining Room Manager 2 will lead day-to-day front of house operations for multiple dining facilities at Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC, ensuring high standards of service, managing a team of 35 staff members, and achieving financial targets. This role requires a strong focus on hospitality and mentoring staff within a not-for-profit Life Plan Community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day front of house operations for two restaurant-style dining rooms and a bistro
• Manage a front-of-house team of approximately 35 staff members, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism
• Deliver high quality food services including retail, catering, and resident dining operations
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
• Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests
• Ensure Sodexo standards are met

Requirements

• Strong front-of-house leadership experience
• Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and customer service skills
• Previous restaurant management / catering experience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Professional communication skills
• Passion for a high level of customer service
• Ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, or mall food courts

• Background in a country club or fine dining setting
