Maintenance Engineer

About This Role

Assist in overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance of refrigeration storage equipment at multiple locations
• Monitor and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
• Conduct leak detection, required inspections, and reporting for refrigeration systems
• Evaluate and implement energy management strategies
• Complete small electrical repairs and brazing projects
• Log time and materials into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) daily
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanup of all work areas
• Interpret and understand plans, specifications, schematics, and manuals for systems
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring in HVAC equipment
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of related experience or education
• EPA 608 certification
• Knowledge of controls and electric (high and low voltage)
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, schematics, operating and maintenance manuals
