The Electronics Technician is responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components, applying knowledge to diagnose malfunctions and restore operation. This role provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support across manufacturing areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic troubleshooting of temperature control, CNC control, and PLC-controlled systems
- Install and test control systems
- Troubleshoot laser systems
- Order parts according to manufacturer specifications
- Install, start up, and shut down equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Perform lockout tagout procedures
- Operate digital multi meters (DMM) and oscilloscopes
- Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
- Read electronic diagrams, blueprints, and ladder logic
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with RSM/Quality Control Management (QCM) requirements
- Ensure compliance with ISO/Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent in a technical field
- 3-5 years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields
- Ability to pass related job test
- Electronics school or equivalent
- Laser school
- Process instrumentation school
Qualifications
