Maintenance Coordinator

About This Role

Coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with quality controls and safety standards for packaging equipment, farm implements, and conveyor systems. This role involves inspecting, servicing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and comply with total quality controls according to USDA standards for inspection, grading, sorting, handling, and shipments to ensure food safety
• Comply with maintenance policies and procedures
• Properly and safely prepare work area
• Examine equipment, systems, or machines and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs
• Perform complete tear down and overhaul on various types of packaging and farm implements and equipment
• Perform complete inspection on various types of packaging and farm equipment and implements and conveyor systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment and machines and farm equipment and implements
• Conduct initial inspection on packing facility, packaging equipment and machines and farm equipment and implements
• Sanitize ventilation pipes, storage buildings, and other potato handling and farm implements and equipment
• Compile operational records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results
• Maintain tool and part inventories and monitor the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions
• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel
• Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use
