Operate and set up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines to precisely machine steel and brass components, specifically for the night shift. This role involves maintaining a safe workspace and adhering to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines and machining centers to precisely machine steel and brass components
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- Adhere to safety regulations and actively promote a culture of workplace safety
- Comply with all standard operating procedures, control plans, processes, and quality standards
- Efficiently operate multiple machines
- Assess situations impartially and make timely decisions aimed at enhancing work performance
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with high quality
- Employ innovative strategies and ideas to resolve issues, optimizing the use of available resources
- Perform all required Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities and maintain possession of necessary personal tools
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 1-3 years of relevant experience/training
- Capable of reading and interpreting documents like safety regulations, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural guides
- Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; alternatively, one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent blend of education and experience
