Machining Operator

About This Role

This role involves diligently following procedures to prep material for semi-automated machining operations, ensuring precision and quality in the production of magnets. The operator will be instrumental in optimizing processes and contributing to various tasks on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines to initiate production cycles.
• Determine and mount necessary fixtures, attachments, and tools according to specifications.
• Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines.
• Bond magnetic components in specific orientations to various substrates.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, uniformity, and quality.
• Maintain machine production logs.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• High attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, indicators, set up blocks, and various gauges
• Willingness to assist with various production tasks
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
