Machine Operator

About This Role

Seeking an experienced Machine Operator with expertise in slitting, rewinding, or complex manufacturing machine setup to join a growing team. This role involves operating machinery, ensuring quality, and supporting production in a textile manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read work order paperwork to understand customer requirements
• Set up machines, including adding raw materials and setting blades to specific measurements
• Load master rolls to unwind shafts
• Remove finished rolls from rewind shafts
• Clean equipment and work area
• Package finished goods on skids or into boxes
• Train and guide machine helpers
• Cut cores
• Sharpen score blades
• Keep track of time spent on assigned jobs
• Follow all safety rules and report incidents promptly
• Maintain good housekeeping around the work area
• Meet or exceed quality requirements set by work order or supervisor
• Use problem-solving skills to complete work orders timely and with high quality
