Machine Operator I

About This Role

Operate seaming equipment and monitor carpet pad quality, performing necessary adjustments and cuts to ensure high-quality product delivery. Maintain a clean work environment and collaborate with senior team members or supervisors to resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw material for proper specifications to ensure high-quality product
• Operate seaming equipment and monitor carpet pad quality flow
• Cut away defective material as needed
• Operate computer for padding production program
• Maintain adequate work materials and monitor equipment for even production flow
• Gain assistance from senior team members or Supervisor for production issues
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• Basic computer skills
• Effective team member
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to perform simple mathematic calculations
• Ability to lift/maneuver approximately 85-100 pounds several times during the shift
• Ability to stand/walk throughout the workday

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a production environment preferred
