Machine Operator I

About This Role

Operate pillow manufacturing equipment safely and effectively, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This role involves performing essential maintenance, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and managing production processes for pillow manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Pillow Production areas, ensuring they are free from debris and hazards
• Assist with performing repairs to the Company’s equipment
• Follow Company-wide safety policies to prevent accidents and injuries
• Ensure all equipment guards and safety equipment are in place and operational, including lockout-tagout
• Fill feed hoppers of Garnett machine with appropriate fibers
• Report accurate production performance, downtime, and runtime using touch screen and RF equipment
• Maintain other pertinent production information as required
• Perform machine set up for each work order
• Verify component parts are pulled to the production area for start of production
• Work with QC to verify pillows are producing to ATC specifications

Requirements

• 2+ Years Machine Maintenance Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• PC skills
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Solid Math skills
• Experience with basic equipment repair
