Machine Operator 1

About This Role

Operate equipment safely and efficiently to produce quality weather stripping and specialty products. This role requires close communication with technicians and supervisors to maintain continuous operation.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety work practices as outlined in standard work procedures
• Support plant or departmental safety initiatives
• Perform all quality inspections in accordance with standard work instructions
• Ensure product is within specification tolerances
• Complete inspection audit sheet or charting requirements
• Inform technician of quality issues on the production line
• Follow standard work for light priorities
• Set up and recalibrate production equipment according to GMPs and SOPs
• Notify area technician of issues with the production lines to ensure prompt resolution
• Replenish raw material supply on machines
• Remove finished product
• Make minor adjustments to machines
• Perform minor repairs
• Record time and reason machine is out of operation
• Record time when the machine is back online
• Record repairs needed to machine
• Record amount and reason for scrap

• Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment

• Ability to assist technicians with troubleshooting and equipment repairs upon learning advanced skills
