Lobby Host Front Desk Agent

About This Role

The Lobby Host/Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in/out, handling payments, and assisting with luggage and valet services to ensure a positive guest experience. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable stays at an independent lifestyle hotel.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests, setting a positive tone for their stay.
• Perform check-in and check-out services, including payment processing and correcting account discrepancies.
• Provide luggage, valet, and cab summoning assistance to guests.
• Respond to guest complaints promptly and professionally, reporting concerns to management.
• Assist guests with inquiries, special requests, and provide concierge services.
• Familiarize guests with in-room facilities, hotel amenities, and local attractions.
• Maintain and conduct sales within the General Store while managing inventory.
• Balance daily cash transactions and ensure proper handling of sensitive guest information.
• Book guest reservations via various channels and upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Maintain good posture and eye contact while interacting with guests, using their name whenever possible.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for periods of time (Up to 6 hours)
• Efficient in Computer and Typing Skills
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Qualifications

• Minimum of Hospitality, Retail or Services related industries experience preferred
