Operate a production line in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring product quality and adherence to schedules. This role involves equipment checks, loading materials, documenting activities, and maintaining a clean work area.
Responsibilities
- Check schedule for assigned shop orders and visually inspect equipment for cleanliness
- Complete all cleaning forms and sign Inventory Control logbook for pallet receipt
- Update the dry-erase board with current information from shop orders
- Verify components against Packaging Card and ensure adherence to FIFO staging
- Request line supplies and check with mechanic for equipment setup
- Load tubes onto the filling machine and boxes into the boxer
- Check lot numbers and expiration dates on components against packaging card order
- Notify Q.A for line release and document activity in Area/Equipment log book
- Document all entries on In-process Control Forms
- Keep lines and equipment clean of spills; remove PM stickers and break up empty corrugations
- Protect and secure documents, inserts, labels in appropriate cages during breaks
- Maintain a clean area by removing soiled paper towels, leaflets, and folding boxes
- Request supply replenishment from inventory control department with Q.A approval
- Count and record units produced, including damages and destroys
- Document when drums are used and emptied onto the IPC (2) Form
- Observe counting of all tube and other component damages and record on IPC (2) form
- Observe counting of partial case components and complete Inventory Reconciliation form
- Properly destroy components into garbage bins or waste drums and complete IPC forms
- Notify supervisor when orders/jobs are completed or when problems arise with the line
- Check that equipment, work area, or line is clear from previous components
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Fluency in speaking, reading and writing English
