About This Role

Provide and coordinate therapeutic services, case management, and crisis intervention for clients and their families, with a focus on children with emotional disorders or complex trauma. This role involves comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote healing and timely transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate quality therapeutic services, case management, crisis management, transition planning and supportive aftercare services
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate with the treatment team to develop treatment and safety plans
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to stabilize behavior and promote healing
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and submit required reports
  • Coordinate collaboration among referral agencies, family members, and other support systems
  • Provide emergency crisis intervention and on-call clinical services as scheduled
  • Manage admissions through screening, assessment, and completion of intake documentation
  • Implement group programming to address social and emotional needs of clients
  • Develop discharge and aftercare plans, including follow-up referrals
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with local human and youth services agencies

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or education
  • Current LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure
  • 3+ years experience providing treatment to children with emotional disorder or complex trauma (DSM-5 defined)
  • Strong people and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • No felony or criminal offense conviction against a child
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide on-call coverage

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree with course work in the behavioral sciences or education
  • Three years’ experience providing treatment services to children with emotional disorder or complex trauma, including defiance and conduct disorder as defined by the DSM-5

Nice to Have

  • Certification in TF-CBT, Family Systems, and EMDR
  • TBRI® Practitioner
  • Previous experience providing therapy in a residential treatment environment
