This is a part-time, high-impact Legal Counsel role focusing on commercial negotiations, global partnerships, and product launches for a rapidly growing global SaaS company in the accounting industry.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements including enterprise customer agreements, channel partner, vendor, and supplier contracts, NDAs, and standard form agreements.
- Lead and support commercial negotiations across Sales, Partnerships, and GTM teams.
- Provide legal and commercial advice on product launches, especially concerning payments, data handling, and cross-border services.
- Collaborate with the CFO and executives to build scalable legal processes and templates for global operations.
- Support due diligence, compliance, and integration for strategic initiatives, partnerships, or acquisitions.
- Offer practical legal support on employment matters like agreements, policies, and compliance.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, identifying risks and enabling business decisions.
- Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions as needed.
- Maintain and evolve internal legal resources such as playbooks and templates.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of legal experience, ideally in-house at a SaaS or tech company and/or at a top-tier law firm
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including customer, vendor, and partner agreements
- Solid understanding of corporate and transactional matters
- Admitted to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction
- Clear, concise communicator who collaborates well with cross-functional, non-legal stakeholders
- Practical, proactive, and comfortable making judgment calls without over-engineering
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of legal experience, ideally in-house at a SaaS or tech company and/or at a top-tier law firm
