The Leasing Associate is responsible for driving occupancy by engaging with prospective residents, coordinating leasing activities, and fostering resident retention in a multi-family property.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all leasing activities including responding to inquiries, providing tours, and coordinating move-ins
- Develop and recommend on-site marketing strategies and programs
- Monitor merchant/neighborhood referral programs
- Initiate sales outreach plans for community management and communication
- Recommend programs to increase qualified traffic and closing ratios
- Attend weekly marketing meetings
- Maintain high e-shop, phone shop, and physical shop scores
- Inspect apartments with new residents and complete necessary paperwork
- Support Assistant Real Estate Manager with tracking renewals, expirations, and notices to vacate
- Collect and accurately process application fees, security deposits, and rents
- Accurately enter prospect and resident data into Entrata
- Maintain files, desk, and leasing area organization
- Comply with Fair Housing and relevant local/state regulations
- Inspect market ready units and models daily
- Assist in planning and preparation of resident functions
- Walk the property for curb appeal and overall appearance
- Assist with monitoring service operations to ensure timely request completion
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional attitude
Requirements
- 1+ years of sales and marketing experience in multi-family property management
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to walk apartments and grounds, including steps and climbing stairs
- Ability to occasionally lift 20 pounds or less
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred
- 1+ years of sales and marketing experience in the multi-family property management industry and 1+ years of customer service experience
