Laundry Attendant

About This Role

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for collecting, sorting, processing, and distributing laundry within a healthcare facility in Racine, ensuring high cleanliness standards and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and distribute laundry throughout the facility
• Audit laundry returned from the distribution center
• Ensure laundry is ready for pickup from the processing center
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate supervisor
• Be polite and helpful to residents, responding promptly and professionally to requests
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Comply with Residents' Rights and Community Policies and Procedures
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of assigned areas
• Maintain a professional relationship with co-workers and other staff

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed
• Ability to get to and from work reliably when scheduled

• Previous experience in a laundry attendant role or similar role
