Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects, managing a diverse portfolio of projects from conception to completion. Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable designs that meet high standards of design excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects, providing guidance and support throughout all project phases
- Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project designs
- Build and nurture client relationships, including networking, preparing proposals, interviewing, and negotiating fees
- Prepare and deliver project proposals, presentations, and reports
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations
- Effectively manage project budgets and timelines
- Continuously improve project processes and techniques
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure team member growth and development
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
- Professional license or registration (RLA/PLA)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in landscape architecture design and project management
- Experience with various project types (e.g., parks, commercial, master planned communities, etc.)
- Experience with the entitlement process and site planning
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Experience with project budgeting and cost estimation
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve project goals
- Experience with sustainable design principles and practices
- Knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in landscape architecture design and project management.
