Kitchen Helper

About This Role

Join a team as a Kitchen Helper/Prep Cook, preparing food items, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards to provide excellent experiences for residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes
• Taste and prepare food to determine quality
• Operate dish-washing machine to properly wash and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment
• Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
• Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures
• Oversee food storage; check labels and dates
• Complete cleaning duties
• Follow all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling
• Maintain food safety equipment records and food safety temperature records

Requirements

• 1 year job related food preparation experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year job related food preparation experience

Nice to Have

• High school diploma or equivalent
