King’s Kids Club Group Lead Teacher

About This Role

The King's Kids Club Group Lead Teacher creates and maintains a safe, fun, and age-appropriate environment for students, working with staff to provide direct instruction and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the KKC Director in maintaining a quality program that upholds the standards, goals and overall mission of King’s Kids Club
• Supervise students in small & large group settings
• Implement daily program activities
• Assist the Director in maintaining a clean well-functioning, safe environment
• Respond directly to the needs of students; creatively solve problems and resolve concerns
• Perform job tasks independently and in a timely manner without direct supervision
• Intentionally Develop positive relationships with students and their families
• Know and comply with King’s policies and procedures
• Maintain flexibility and change direction quickly in response to a variety of situations
• Ensure that equipment is clean, safe, set up and stored properly

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Able to assist Kindergarten-6th grade students with homework
• Able to work well with multi-ethnic, culturally diverse students and parent population
• Able to work with the public in a friendly and courteous manner
• Able to communicate clearly with children and parents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of experience working with children

Nice to Have

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree working with children
• Food Handler’s Permit
