The Job Coach provides on-site support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve positive employment outcomes in various community jobs. This role involves collaboration with Employment Specialists and employers to facilitate success and growth.
Responsibilities
- Promote a work environment that respects individuals with dignity
- Provide on-site job coaching to individuals with community employment
- Work closely with Employment Specialists to provide added supports to clients
- Collaborate with individuals at the day program on career curriculum, including learning workplace skills, budgeting, and conflict resolution
- Collaborate with employers to identify and modify job tasks and advocate for accommodations
- Write progress notes for coached clients and summary reports for career curriculum
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and aligns with Trinity Services’ mission, values, and operational needs
- Assist with tasks and responsibilities of the people supported, as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Computer skills including Word, Excel, Email and Internet
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to maintain a current CPR and First Aid card
