IWC Maintenance Senior Work Planner

About This Role

Develop Activity Level Work Control Documents to support maintenance work by facilitating job walkdowns, hazard identification, and coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure safe and efficient execution of work activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop Activity Level Work Control Documents (ALWCDs) to support Maintenance work across the NNSS
• Facilitate job walkdowns and tabletop reviews to develop scopes of work and discuss job details with the requester/customer and subject matter experts
• Identify and solicit participation from members of the planning team, including job supervisors, safety specialists, workers, engineers, facility representatives, and other subject matter experts
• Facilitate hazard identification and job hazard analysis to ensure all work hazards are properly mitigated within ALWCD
• Ensure that all necessary components of the ALWCD are included, such as permits, checklists, acceptance criteria, approvals, hold points, and other items to ensure the safe and efficient execution of work activities
• Analyze labor/material requirements for planned work activities and input into IBM Maximo
• Interface with Maintenance management, Engineering, Project Managers, Superintendents, Craft Personnel, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, National Laboratories, Environmental Safety and Health (ESH&Q), Radiological Control, and obtain Subject Matter Expert (SME) input for ALWCD development
• Identify skill of the worker activities and initial required training for ALWCDs
• Facilitate ALWCD reviews and disposition SME comments and resolution of issues and concerns identified during work planning and review process
• Facilitate ALWCD approvals ensuring to obtain all required SME approvals
• Provide mentorship and training for other planners in the organization
• Perform as planning subject matter expert for customers and other organizations outside of the planning organization, including expertise of DOE and company directives associated with work control and planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience
• 5+ years of progressive related experience
• Ability to use personal computer, printers, copiers, scanners, telephones, fax machines, calculators, and other general office equipment
• Ability to follow oral and written instruction and follow through on all assignments
• Ability to apply knowledge of a broad range of specialized functions and assist in coordinating activities with those of other work groups
• Ability to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines
• Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance
• U.S. citizenship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in field related to the position or equivalent training and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive related experience

• Previous experience with government CMMS software
