This IT Internship offers hands-on experience in supporting internal IT operations for a distributed energy company. Interns will assist with help desk tickets, provide technical support to end-users, and help maintain IT standards and inventory under the guidance of experienced staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist with IT Help desk calls, scheduling, and support tickets resolution
- Provide excellent end-user technical support
- Perform computer imaging, staging, and installation
- Document and assist with the maintenance of IT standards
- Inventory technology equipment and software under IT staff guidance
- Set up video conferencing sessions and other items as needed to assist IT staff
- Perform field work and interact with customers
- Ensure work orders are organized, structured, and scheduled promptly and efficiently
- Execute technical instructions independently with minimal supervision and guidance
- Prioritize projects and services to minimize user interruption and downtime
- Employ a customer service approach and present technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification in IT, or related field
- 2 years of basic computing knowledge, including troubleshooting Windows and macOS
- User account support experience
- Software installation updates experience

- Expertise in laptop/desktop maintenance and basic computing knowledge

- Certifications in IT helpdesk fundamentals
