IT Intern

About This Role

This IT Internship offers hands-on experience in supporting internal IT operations for a distributed energy company. Interns will assist with help desk tickets, provide technical support to end-users, and help maintain IT standards and inventory under the guidance of experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with IT Help desk calls, scheduling, and support tickets resolution
• Provide excellent end-user technical support
• Perform computer imaging, staging, and installation
• Document and assist with the maintenance of IT standards
• Inventory technology equipment and software under IT staff guidance
• Set up video conferencing sessions and other items as needed to assist IT staff
• Perform field work and interact with customers
• Ensure work orders are organized, structured, and scheduled promptly and efficiently
• Execute technical instructions independently with minimal supervision and guidance
• Prioritize projects and services to minimize user interruption and downtime
• Employ a customer service approach and present technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or certification in IT, or related field
• 2 years of basic computing knowledge, including troubleshooting Windows and macOS
• User account support experience
• Software installation updates experience
