Interventional Radiology Technologist

About This Role

Provide technical assistance to the Interventional Radiology team by performing diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures and assisting physicians. This role ensures quality and cost-effective patient care while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting
• Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders
• Assist the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Monitor, pass instruments and catheters, observe patient response to procedure, maintain sterile field, interpret and evaluate diagnostic data for the physician
• Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines
• Deliver quality, cost effective patient care in a professional manner
• Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care
• Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly

Requirements

• Current License in good standing
• Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
