Intern - Riverbend Operations

About This Role

This internship provides an operational understanding of the Riverbend private club, offering training in various departmental functional positions and focusing on developing management and team leadership skills within a luxury hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and train in positions including Butler, Busser, Dining Attendant, Bartender, Meeting & Events, and Member Services
• Assist with scheduling and interviewing front line staff
• Lead daily communications and build member relations
• Serve as Manager on Duty and provide general guest service
• Learn performance management and performance evaluations
• Achieve proficiency in Infogenesis, ResortSuite, Microsoft Office, Kohler Intranet, Workbrain, Workplace Ordering System, and Inventory Management
• Complete a final project and present key learnings to the Senior Leadership Team, if assigned

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a junior level student in a four year hospitality related college program for summer internship or graduate of a four year hospitality related college program for a six month internship.
• Emphasis of study must be focused on hospitality, resort, or spa management.
• Strong academic performance with a 3.0 GPA or higher
• Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
• Previous hospitality experience

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior level student in a four year hospitality related college program or graduate of a four year hospitality related college program
• Previous hospitality experience required; experience in luxury hospitality or private clubs preferred.
