Intern - Engineering

About This Role

This internship offers students pursuing an academic degree an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by defining and documenting process parameters, supporting product development design, and quantifying actions for scrap reduction. The intern will work on projects, receive job-rotation, and hands-on training, gaining exposure to Schaeffler's manufacturing and technological processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and document process parameters
• Support design efforts for product development
• Quantify and lead actions needed for scrap reduction
• Work independently and be open to instruction
• Participate in projects, job-rotation, and hands-on training
• Understand current specifications of the Quality Policy and Procedures and contribute to achieving quality objectives

Requirements

• Must be pursuing an academic degree
• Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
• Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
• Assertive approach to solving problems
• Ability to prioritize
• Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move thirty pounds
• Authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
