This role provides life skills coaching and training to individuals with disabilities, fostering independence in daily living and community engagement. The Instructor will develop positive relationships with support teams to communicate progress and advocate for individuals.
Responsibilities
- Coach and train individuals with life skills on how to engage and effectively communicate with others
- Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with the support team to communicate progress towards goal(s)
- Assist in maintaining case files and related paperwork as required by PRIDE Industries and supporting agencies
- Serve as an advocate to clarify information and diffuse conflict or disputes
- Perform duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Intermediate computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database, and presentation software
- Ability to communicate effectively, including listening, verbal, and written
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
