Instructional Assistant

About This Role

This role will support the Early Childhood Coordinator by guiding children, preparing daily activities, and implementing curriculum plans in a child-centered environment. The Instructional Assistant will ensure the general safety and well-being of assigned children and maintain a clean learning space.

Responsibilities

• Guide children in working and playing harmoniously with other children
• Prepare for daily activities
• Implement curriculum plans as directed by the Early Childhood Coordinator
• Assist children in developing self-regulation strategies
• Maintain accurate records for children
• Ensure the general safety and well-being of assigned children
• Collaborate with the classroom instructional assistant on planning activities, lesson plans, and events
• Maintain a clean and organized learning and play environment
• Supervise children during regular play periods and lunch supervision
• Assist with the arrival and dismissal of students and confer with parents as needed

Requirements

• 48 college credit hours OR 2 years of experience working with children in an instructional setting

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working with children in an instructional setting or 48 college credit hours
