About This Role

Join Precision Garage Door Services as an Install Apprentice, where you'll receive comprehensive training to become a skilled Garage Door Installer. This role involves repairing, replacing, and installing garage doors while providing excellent customer service and managing your own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Repair garage doors, door operators, and replace worn or broken door parts
• Install new equipment including doors and replace springs
• Educate customers on repair options and prevent future issues
• Explain completed work to customers for full understanding
• Sell services to customers using a proven good/better/best model
• Collect payment from customers for services rendered
• Manage inventory of equipment, tools, and products in company vehicle
• Maximize time by fully addressing customer needs and offering solutions
• Ensure quality work, getting the job done right the first time
• Wow customers to encourage positive reviews

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently
• Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in various temperatures (heat and cold, inside/outside garages)
• Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Reliability and adherence to company processes
• Ability to use a computer and/or tablet
• Ability to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment

• Mechanical aptitude and technical skills
• Experience in the garage door industry
