Industrial Services Band Saw Blade Fabrication

About This Role

Support the manufacturing process of welded to length band saw blades by cutting, welding, and finishing them. This role also involves picking and packaging products and providing customer service in a fast-paced department.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, welding, and completing finishing processes of blades
• Packaging band saw blades for shipment to our branch
• Performing end-of-day tasks such as, filing, cleaning, filling supplies
• Following all International Standardization Organization (ISO) quality procedures
• Communicating with Fastenal stores and vendors

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Mechanically inclined
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen

Nice to Have

• Prior welding or grinding experience
• Previous experience using vertical or horizontal band saw machines
