Assume accountability for the quality of care provided to ICU patients and their families by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to Standards of Nursing Practice and Peterson Health's mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities
- Assume accountability and responsibility for quality of care provided to patients and their families
- Assess and reassess each patient's spiritual, emotional, physiological and psychosocial needs
- Plan nursing care based on patient needs
- Evaluate and document patient response to care in the patient’s record
- Ensure the developed Plan of Care is carried out through performance and/or appropriate delegation to unit personnel
Requirements
- Knowledge and ability to perform unit specific competencies
- Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification (or completion within six months of employment)
- 1 year experience as an RN on a medical/surgical unit
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 1 year of experience as an RN on a medical/surgical unit
Nice to Have
- BSN
- PALS certification
- CCRN certification
- Previous experience as an RN in an Intensive Care Unit
