HR Lead

About This Role

Provide comprehensive administrative support for a retail location, including managing payroll, maintaining personnel and training records, and assisting with all staffing-related efforts. This role acts as a key in-store expert for HR and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all administrative functions related to payroll (time and attendance, processing payroll, matching payroll to MPA plan, etc.)
• Manage all required paperwork associated with Workers Compensation and Disability claims
• Act as the in-store expert for the SuccessFactors HR and Learning systems and the payroll system, assisting associates and leveraging systems for administrative functions
• Direct associates with questions/concerns to the appropriate contact
• Track associate attendance, including logging absences and identifying protected time, and review regularly with store leadership
• Perform initial screening with job applicants and schedule final interviews with appropriate manager
• Provide training reports to Department Managers and Store Leadership
• Ensure Criminal Background Check paperwork is completed for all required roles
• Conduct all new hire orientations
• Set up new associates in payroll and HR systems
• Maintain accurate personnel and training files
• Maintain all HR bulletin boards with current information, including compliance boards, legally mandated posters and materials

Requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Ability to master both the SuccessFactors HR and learning systems and the payroll system
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Familiarity with Office applications including but not limited to Word and Excel
