This role will provide HR and administrative support to the Leave Team, ensuring local compliance to policies and HR practices, specifically managing a high volume of employee leave cases and performing administrative duties for the Leave of Absence team.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of 100+ cases for employees returning to work
- Ensure company policies regarding medical clearance and drug testing are followed
- Communicate with employees and managers throughout the return-to-work process
- Provide full-time phone operator support to the department
- Answer incoming calls related to leave requests and conduct intakes for new requests
- Answer general questions related to leave and collaborate with Leave Specialists on advanced questions
- Complete forms for employees related to their insurance, State leaves, and disability plans
- Monitor incoming faxes and place documents into cases
- Coordinate the return-to-work process in conjunction with STD, LTD, Worker's compensation
- Run and create Ad-Hoc reports (turnover, attrition, etc.)
- Deliver packages to UPS location weekly
Requirements
- H.S. diploma/GED
- 3+ years in a similar Human Resources role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of multi-tasking and highly organized
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information and high ethical standards
Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED required General H.S. subjects
- Three (3) years or more in similar Human Resources role required
