This HR Business Partner role supports Salas O'Brien's people and culture, focusing on strategic and operational HR across multiple locations, primarily in Bloomington, MN. The HRBP will foster employee relations, manage talent initiatives, ensure compliance, and promote an inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Regional Director of Human Resources to implement and support people programs aligned with company values and business goals
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support the deployment of companywide programs related to employee engagement, training, performance management, and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Payroll, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure HR process consistency and communication accuracy
- Assist in employee relations activities, including documentation, investigations, and communication of outcomes in accordance with legal and company policies
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance, conduct, and attendance issues, including corrective actions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to mitigate risks and ensure compliance
- Support performance management cycles, including goal setting, feedback, and reviews
- Contribute to talent development initiatives, including learning sessions, mentorship programs, and career pathing
- Promote a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and accountability through engagement efforts, surveys, and recognition programs
- Support internal communications to foster a connected and supported team environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4–6 years of progressive HR experience supporting multi-site, hybrid, or remote teams
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws including FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage & hour regulations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-6 years of progressive HR experience supporting multi-site, hybrid, or remote teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with UKG
- Experience in professional services, engineering, or consulting environments
- Familiarity with HR analytics, dashboards, or workforce data reporting
