Housekeeping/Laundry Aide

Join Higher Call Nursing Center as a Housekeeper/Laundry Aide in Quapaw, OK, to maintain a clean and positive environment for residents. This role involves performing daily cleaning tasks and laundry services for the facility and residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a facility that is neat in appearance and odor free at all times
• Follow a regular schedule of all daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual cleaning requirements
• Clean rooms, offices, and common areas, including vacuuming, wiping, mopping, and polishing
• Coordinate daily housekeeping and laundry services with nursing services
• Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with sanitation procedures
• Clean up spills, soiled areas, and other conditions as observed or directed
• Maintain a cleaning cart fully equipped with needed supplies
• Assist with transferring resident and belongings from one room to another
• Perform extensive cleaning of resident's rooms upon discharge or death
• Report any damage of walls, floors, furniture, or equipment to supervisor
• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment
• Fold, stack, hang, and deliver laundry and linen
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information
• Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse

Requirements

• Willingness to perform a variety of simple repetitive tasks
• Practical knowledge of day-to-day cleaning in a nursing facility
• Practical knowledge of day-to-day laundry care in a nursing facility
• Organized and detailed in work performance
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility
• Ability to comply with Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures
