About This Role

Provide essential cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and the public within a healthcare facility, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors
• Vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable
• Empty and clean trash cans, replacing liners
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets
• Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
• Clean behind and underneath furnishings
• Follow infection control standards while cleaning
• Prevent and remove wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways
• Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies, using a ladder when necessary
• Dust and damp clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms (furniture, bed frames, windowsills)
• Move furniture to clean behind/underneath
• Turn bed mattresses after cleaning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• None, on-the-job training is provided

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services
