Host/Hostess

About This Role

As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing the waiting list, and ensuring tables are clean and ready for the next customer to provide the best dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner from the Hostess podium
• Engage in friendly conversation while seating guests in a timely fashion
• Introduce guests to their assigned server
• Manage the restaurant waiting list during high volume, accurately setting guest expectations
• Clear, clean, and reset tables to prepare them for the next guest
• Thank guests sincerely as they leave and invite them to return

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers in English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
