As a Hospice Care Consultant, you will educate on hospice benefits and foster relationships with referral sources, working to achieve budgetary volume projections and expand service access for eligible patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Director/Administrator in establishing organization volume projections in the annual budget
- Initiate marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections
- Conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary projections
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources
- Educate facilities, families, and the community at large on the hospice benefit
- Provide leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs
- Support care team in field by gathering referral information, helping to obtain orders, following up on pending referrals
- Ensure annual education is completed and documented
- Be accountable to goals set by agency leadership including development of unique referral sources, territory growth, achieving admission/census goals
Requirements
- Ability to learn department and job-specific software systems
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills when problem-solving
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least two (2) years experience in health care marketing, preferably in hospice care preferred.
