About This Role

As a Homemaker in Skilled Nursing, you will create a home-like environment for residents by preparing meals, maintaining household areas, and fostering meaningful engagement. This role focuses on supporting daily life and the well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of resident meals
• Honor resident choice by supporting individual food preferences and dietary needs
• Complete required documentation including food temperatures, dishwasher temps, and refrigeration logs
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen and dining areas after meals and between mealtimes
• Store, rotate, and manage weekly food stock orders using the Cater-Trax system
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local food safety guidelines
• Perform daily cleaning tasks according to the Household Cleaning Checklist
• Encourage resident participation in food-related activities and provide 1:1 support when needed
• Assist with household holiday meals, gatherings, and events
• Follow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and Residents’ Rights policies

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Ability to read menus, diet cards, recipes, and follow measurements and instructions
• Ability to understand dietary restrictions such as regular, mechanical soft, and puréed diets
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required
