HHA/PCA Caregiver

About This Role

Provide personalized, one-on-one in-home care for aging seniors, including those with Alzheimer's and Dementia, offering cognitive, personal, home safety, transportation, and companionship support.

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive and behavioral support by offering gentle reminders, redirection, and structure to reduce confusion and anxiety
• Assist with personal care including dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meals with respect and patience
• Maintain a calm, familiar, and organized environment through basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing
• Transport clients to appointments, run errands, and grocery shop
• Offer companionship through conversation, music, memory games, or sensory activities

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid NY Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certification
• Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
• TB Clearance or Chest X-Ray
