Helper

About This Role

The Helper will assist drivers in completing customer routes, focusing on exceptional customer service and adherence to health and safety protocols, including loading/emptying containers and assisting with truck maneuvers.

Responsibilities

• Load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into truck manually or mechanically
• Maneuver containers that are staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout
• Operate hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopper
• Place all serviced bins back in their original up-right position with covers
• Assist driver with all backing maneuvers while on route
• Load trash and recycling into a rear load truck in fluctuating weather conditions
• Lift 50 pounds constantly throughout the day while maintaining stamina
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Communicate professionally with customers and other employees
• Participate in training and learning opportunities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 50lbs constantly throughout the day
• Ability to work under many different weather conditions
