Lead business development strategies for global and US Cybersecurity and Privacy practices within a global law firm, driving revenue growth, enhancing brand profile, and fostering new client relationships. This role involves developing go-to-market initiatives, managing the bid process, and coordinating marketing efforts across various channels.
Responsibilities
- Support go-to-market strategies for revenue generation, profile development, and opportunity realization with lead lawyers to meet KPIs
- Facilitate the bid process by collaborating with lead lawyers to evaluate opportunities, develop strategic approaches, draft responses, and deliver materials for successful outcomes
- Assist with the development and execution of Business Development initiatives to create awareness of the IGPC sector's strengths and preference for the firm's services
- Liaise with regional and global Business Development team members to identify cross-sell opportunities with priority targets
- Provide event support, coordination, and delivery for industry conference sponsorships, client presentations, seminars, and other market engagement activities
- Assist with the development and distribution of legal update newsletters and quarterly blog recaps for email distribution
- Work with the CI team to maintain awareness of client priorities, competitor activity, and marketplace trends, providing insights for US Business Development activities
- Develop and maintain content and experience for efficient and consistent group go-to-market efforts, organizing and managing relevant bid content
- Develop positioning statements, compelling themes, value propositions, and key messaging to drive awareness and enhance brand perception
- Provide input for brand positioning to convey consistent messages about expertise and experience, ensuring all marketing communications channels are exploited, including social media
- Coordinate submissions in legal directories (e.g., Chambers and Legal 500) and report on ranking changes and targets
- Work with the communications and media team to identify and pursue PR thought leadership opportunities in key legal and industry trade publications
- Monitor budget tracking of spend against budget allocation, measuring and reporting on ROI, and evaluating efficiencies
- Coordinate contributions and input into business development systems including InterAction (contact management database), bids and experience, and CV databases
Requirements
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a consulting or professional services marketing role
- Confident, persuasive, and assertive communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information into compelling messages
- Proficient at issue-spotting and strong intellectual curiosity about the business of law and regulatory/technology trends
- Innovative problem solver who is detail-oriented and highly organized
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong skills in written/oral communication, managing expectations, and dealing with ambiguity
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint and advanced Excel)
- Ability to work overtime and travel is required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a consulting or professional services marketing role
Nice to Have
- Experience with a global law firm
- Experience in cybersecurity, privacy, information governance, eDiscovery, information technology, eCommerce, and intellectual property
- Experience with promoting litigation services
- Experience working in a matrix organization
