About This Role

Manage the complete cycle of drum loads for hazardous containerized waste, from receipt to shipment, while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards and maintaining proper documentation for all activities.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile manifest and shipping documents upon receipt of drum loads
  • Unload trucks and ensure containers are properly marked and labeled
  • Perform quality control, sample, and place drums into inventory
  • Select drums from inventory, stage for processing, and coordinate with tank farm operators
  • Pump and process drums, including rinsing, cutting up drums, shredding debris, and processing residuals
  • Mark and label containers for shipment, stage drums, and load trucks
  • Ensure accuracy of shipping documents, labels, and placards
  • Maintain the Container Storage area in compliance, including isle space, container labeling, and spill remediation
  • Maintain basic cleanliness for the drum storage and process area
  • Unload supply deliveries, clean, pressure wash, and pump rainwater
  • Assist Operations or EC Crew as directed by supervisor

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a plant environment
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Capable of learning DOT and RCRA rules
  • Forklift certified or ability to become certified
  • Basic Lab Equipment skills
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Capable of working in an open environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, Technical degree preferred
  • minimum 2 years of experience in a plant environment
