This role supports the City of Phoenix Housing Department's environmental efforts, focusing on developing educational tools, volunteer programs, and funding resources for community environmental projects. The assistant will help replace distressed public housing with high-quality mixed-income housing by working alongside Choice Neighborhoods programs.
Responsibilities
- Support environmental efforts taking place alongside Choice Neighborhoods programs
- Develop internal tools for trash and recycling education campaigns for target neighborhoods
- Create environmental stewardship volunteer programming frameworks
- Create toolbanks that provide resources for community groups to independently identify and apply for funding opportunities for environmental projects
Requirements
- Ability to be adaptable, patient, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative
Qualifications
- College graduate
Nice to Have
- English-Spanish bilingual
- Knowledge of the digital divide
